We want to ensure New Zealanders’ legacies can be fulfilled – finding the latest Will is the first step in making this happen.

The New Zealand Will Registry has been designed as a central repository of a Will’s location, we don’t ask for a copy of the Will. By registering a Will’s location you can be sure family or a beneficiary’s lawyer can find the document when they need to. If you’re an executor of a Will you’ll know when someone wants to find your client’s Will.

The NZ Will Registry was launched by Kowhiri to assist the legal community. Working closely with a number of lawyers we have built a service that provides fast and secure access to a Will’s location with the ability to message other lawyers to find a Will.

We believe that the data you enter belongs to you and so we ensure a high degree of security surrounds it and there is a clear separation of the data from any other Kowhiri system.
